About the project

The transcriptions and research presented here were produced by undergraduate students in the Department of Economic History at LSE.

The students were taking the course EH237, Theories and Evidence in Economic History, which focuses on developing a wide range of research skills in the second year of their degree. The work on the Chamberlain's Court was the focus of a collective research project involving all students. It is the first of three research projects they carry out during the course.

The first cohort to work on the Chamberlain's Court did so in autumn 2022. The project will run until 2025/26 with regular updates as material is added.
